That’s it, folks! We’ve officially closed out 2018 and we thank every AAF DC member, supporter, and sponsor for your engagement and contributions. Internally, AAF DC worked hard to shore up the business-of-the-business and improve our programs and events. On both counts, we succeeded – laying the groundwork for even greater advances in 2019.
Moving the organization forward
These core groups have gone above and beyond to elevate AAF DC:
- The all-volunteer AAF DC Board whose members worked so well together, made some bold business calls, and saw them through to successful outcomes.
- The all-volunteer Committees who improved the quality of our networking and learning events, promoted our sponsors, and increased our membership.
- The sponsors who generously supported the region’s creative community through their services and solutions.
In 2018, we saw great creative work recognized, mergers and acquisitions that strengthened local creative and media companies, and an influx of new companies calling the DC area “HQ Home.” Many of our 600+ members played vital roles in influencing these industry events.
Anticipation is building for 2019’s exciting programs and opportunities including an amazing ADDY Award celebration in March, more educational events focused on professional and company growth, and exclusive invitations and discounted registration to events ranging from Qual360 to the 3% Conference (yes, it’s coming to DC!). A new AAF DC website launching in 2019 will offer greater access to resources, connections, and even automated membership invoice payment.
Help us continue to create community
Membership in AAF DC offers professional growth through education, company publicity through news and awards, and business growth through networking and discovering new partners. We hope that you will continue to participate in 2019 and encourage others in the creative economy to join as well.
This market is going to offer even more opportunity – so let’s all work together to seize it.
Cheers to 2019!
